Sacred Beginnings- A Holistic Transition to Middle Childhood
Sacred Beginnings
A creative wellbeing course to honour your child’s next chapter ~ and the sacred transition you’re moving through together.
Not just starting school…
A new rhythm. A new season. A new version of your child (and you).
Sacred Beginnings is a soulful six-module journey for families preparing for, or navigating, a meaningful transition ~ whether that’s starting school, moving into a new year group, beginning homeschool, entering a new learning space, or simply growing into a new phase of independence.
This isn’t just ‘school prep’.
It’s whole being prep.
We centre the heart of this transition ~ supporting your child’s body, mind, spirit, relationships and connection to the Earth… while offering you rituals, creative tools, affirmations, meditations, reflections and guidance to move through this tender season with clarity and connection.
This course is for you if:
Your child is between 4–7 years old and standing at the edge of, or currently moving through, a big new beginning
You feel the pull to slow down and honour the transition, not just rush into the next thing
You want a way to strengthen your connection, nurture your child’s holistic wellbeing, and offer gentle, play-based support (emotional, mental, physical, spiritual & social)
You’re seeking non-linear, inclusive support (for school starters, Steiner, Montessori, homeschool, forest school, unschooled and everything in-between)

Why this matters:
Transitions can bring big feelings ~ for both children and parents.
Instead of bypassing those feelings or bracing for them…what if you held space for them?
Sacred Beginnings helps you slow down, tune in, and co-create a deeply supportive bridge into your family’s next chapter.

Work through at your own pace ~ repeat or pause as needed
You’ll walk away with:
A sense of grounding and calm during an often-overwhelming time
Connection tools to keep your relationship strong and secure
Gentle structures to soothe anxiety and nurture confidence

An empowered foundation that celebrates your unique schooling path
This is for families who believe in conscious, connected parenting ~ and who want to honour the whole being during one of childhood’s biggest shifts.
It's a honour to welcome you into this work which has blossomed out of my passion for holistic education, my professional wisdom from teaching young children at the beginning of their schooling journey, and my lived experience as a parent of a child just entering middle childhood himself :)
This programme draws inspiration from Te Whare Tapa Whā, a model of hauora (wellbeing) created by Sir Mason Durie (Rangitāne, Ngāti Kauwhata, Ngāti Raukawa) in 1982. It reflects the Māori worldview of holistic wellbeing, honouring the interconnectedness of taha tinana (body), taha hinengaro (mind), taha wairua (spirit), taha whānau (family), and taha whenua (land).
I share it with deep respect and gratitude, as tangata tiriti (a Treaty partner) committed to walking a decolonising path and honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi. May this work stand as one small way of uplifting the wisdom of te ao Māori in supporting families and children to thrive.
Arohanui,
Becki
